I started Little Steps, Big Future because I know firsthand the challenges young parents and families face when trying to build a stable, healthy life.
As a mom myself, with experience supporting families in addiction, mental health, and housing instability, I’ve seen how vital it is to have a safe place where young parents can feel supported instead of judged.
My journey through school, volunteer work, and raising my own children has shown me that with the right resources, mentorship, and compassion, young families can overcome obstacles and thrive. That belief is what drives me every day to walk beside young parents, helping them take small steps toward brighter futures for themselves and their children.

My passion for wellness grew out of a simple dream: to live in a way that feels natural, balanced, and true to my values. That dream took shape when my family and I moved to a small farm, where food, lifestyle, and connection all came together.
Linda Buck serves as the Mental Health and Addiction Counsellor at Little Steps Big Future. She is dedicated to supporting youth, young mothers, and at-risk teens by creating safe, compassionate spaces that foster healing, resilience, and hope.
Hi, I’m Linda Buck, and I am honoured to serve as the Mental Health and Addiction Counsellor here at Little Steps Big Future. My passion is supporting youth, young moms, and at-risk teens as they navigate the challenges of mental health, recovery, and life transitions.
In addition to professional training and experience, I bring valuable lived expertise to my work. Having faced my own struggles as a teenager — including time on the streets, involvement in gangs, and the journey of overcoming addiction — I understand firsthand the barriers young people face. This background has shaped both my empathy and my commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces where lasting change is possible.
I believe that every person deserves to be heard, valued, and empowered.
My approach focuses on building resilience, fostering self-discovery, and helping individuals create hope for their future.
At Little Steps Big Future, I work alongside youth and families to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement. Whether someone is facing mental health challenges, addiction, or the risk of homelessness, my goal is to walk with them on their path toward healing and stability.
Outside of my counselling role, I enjoy painting, writing poetry, and spending time outdoors—creative outlets that remind me of the importance of balance and self-expression, which I encourage in the youth and families I support.
Adrienne is a dedicated childbirth educator and doula who brings both professional expertise and the wisdom of being a mom of seven.
My name is Adrienne, and I am a proud mother of seven and grandmother of one. I am a certified childbirth educator as well as a birth and postpartum doula. Beyond my work, I love spending time with my children, playing games, watching movies, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
Supporting families during the transition into parenthood is truly my passion. I find it incredibly rewarding to help new parents prepare for the arrival of their baby bringing a sense of calm and reassurance during what can feel like an overwhelming time. Together, we’ll cover everything from preparing mentally, physically, and emotionally, to getting your home ready and understanding what to expect when labour begins.
I provide guidance in creating a personalized birth plan and offer continuous physical and emotional support during labour and delivery. Once your baby arrives, I help you settle in with confidence whether that’s assisting with breastfeeding, introducing basic newborn care, or simply offering encouragement and reassurance.
My postpartum support extends to ongoing feeding assistance, emotional care, light household help, or even caring for your little one so you can take time to rest and recharge.
Coming from a large family myself, and now raising a large family of my own, I bring not only professional expertise but also lived experience in nurturing children. My goal is to help families create lasting memories and embrace the beauty and challenges of this life-changing journey.
